REGIONAL MOVEMENT / ROAD · RAIL · SEA

The route matters.
So does the cargo.

Inland connections, border crossings, packing, and port handling all shape a mineral shipment. Explore the gateways, then the details behind the movement.

SCHEMATIC ROUTES / GEOGRAPHIC COUNTRY OUTLINES
Origin focus Indicative regional route Development project

Indicative regional export corridors. Lines are schematic, not exact transport alignments. Routes do not represent owned infrastructure, confirmed freight capacity, or a delivery commitment.

02 / CARGO & HANDLING GUIDE

Handling follows
the material.

Choose a product category to see the information needed for a shipment discussion. Packing and transport classification are established for the actual lot.

COPPER CATHODES · ZINC / TIN INGOTS

Secure the physical load.

Refined metal shipments start with package dimensions, weights, lot markings, and the loading plan. Strapped bundles and palletised units need appropriate restraint and lifting arrangements.

  • Bundle / pallet weights and dimensions
  • Load distribution and restraint
  • Brand, lot, and inspection records
  • Loading and unloading equipment
03 / SHIPMENT PLANNING

A connected
delivery discussion.

Routes are evaluated against the particular source, cargo, destination, and timing. The map is an overview of regional possibilities.

01

Loading point

Current location, package format, lot weight, and handling equipment.

02

Inland movement

Road or rail approach, border crossings, and applicable cargo requirements.

03

Port & sea leg

Carrier acceptance, port handling, onward destination, and schedule.

04

Delivery terms

Agreed responsibilities, documentation, inspection, and timing.

Indicative corridors do not establish freight capacity or a confirmed delivery commitment.

04 / ROUTE CLARITY

Regional context.
Specific decisions.

Use the corridor map to frame a discussion. Route availability and regulatory requirements are checked for the proposed movement.

Explore production origins
01Are Central Corridor and TAZARA the same route?

They are distinct approaches. Central Corridor connections serve inland markets through Tanzania. TAZARA provides a separate railway approach between Zambia and Dar es Salaam.

02Is the direct Zambia–Angola rail connection operating?

The direct Zambia extension is a development project and is shown separately as a dashed line. It should not be confused with the operating DRC–Angola corridor.

03Does every mineral move in the same export form?

No. The exact form, processing stage, origin, current export permissions, and buyer specification guide the proposal and handling plan.

04What information helps assess a route?

Material form, safety information, quantity, package dimensions and weights, current location, loading point, destination, timing, and proposed delivery terms.
